"Ibrahim Dende Foundation, better known as IBD Foundation is a non-profit organization located in Ilaro, the capital of Yewa land. The Foundation is the vision of Alhaji Ibrahim Egungbohun popularly known as IBD Dende,
a philanthropist businessman and socialite of international repute. However, the Foundation received a massive boost when Omolara Dende, wife of the philanthropist businessman who is closer to the grassroots and people really in need of help took over the running of the charitable organization. Omolara who is the face of the Foundation
has injected fresh energy into the activities of IBD Foundation. She has also extended the philanthropic ventures of the Foundation to hundreds of thousands
of people in Yewa land. IBD Foundation was incorporated in 2011. The Foundation is now officially the Corporate Social Responsibility arm of the IBD Group.
With a mandate to elevate the socio-economic development of Yewa land, IBD Foundation is committed to the prosperity of Yewa land and its people. The Foundation which is headquartered in Ilaro is genuinely offering support in the areas of Human Capital Development, Economic Development, Entrepreneurial Development and Skill Acquisition Empowerment and Special Projects including Entertainment and Talent Hunt."
To elevate and transform the socio-economic status of Yewa land and by extension Yewa indigenes particularly the disadvantaged Yewa people through philanthropy and community services.
To reduce hardship and ultimately lift thousands of Yewa indigenes out of poverty. To be the go-to charity organization for humanitarian needs. In summary, to serve humanity through acts of kindness.
YGT, was initiated to discover and groom young talents of Yewa origin. The entertainment empowermemt initiative is an exciting improvement on annual charity event where we doled cash, scholarships and other essentials of living. The YGT initiative has produced a number of exciting talent including musicians, actors and other artistic talents from Yewa. As a matter of fact, some of the musical talents who emerged from the Yewa's Got Talents show are currently under our music label where they have been provided with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to embrace stardom.
As part of activities to empower and engage our youths in profitable engagements, we recently organized a 2-day free skill acquisition programme tagged "Unlocking Your Potentials - A Lara Dende Empowerment Initiative. The idea is encourage entrepreneurial development instead of monetary empowerment which usually is for short-term needs.
In the history of Yewa land, we witnessed a massive turn out of over 5,000 participants from every corner of Yewa land. And they were all catered for. We offered comprehensive trainings ranging from Photography/Cinematography, Wig Making, Adire Making, Cocktail, Digital Marketing, Lashes Extension, Make Up and so much more.
During the COVID-19 global health crisis, our Foundation stepped up to the plate during the lock down period by providing relief support including cash and food supplies to hundreds of households in Ilaro and other Yewa communities to ease the effect of the deadly COVID-19 hardship.
